Web Hosting Control Panel · Early development

One server. Every site under control.

HostScope is a self-hosted hosting panel for one Linux server, with Caddy as its only web server. Add static sites, reverse proxies, apps and redirects with automatic HTTPS from a clean web interface. It is open source and still in early development.

  • Automatic HTTPS for every domain
  • One Linux user per site
  • Open source (AGPL-3.0)

The big picture.

One panel for the sites on a server: add them, watch them, work on their files and keep them safe, without hand-editing web server config.

Sites

Every kind of site

Add a site in a few clicks.

  • Static sites, reverse proxies and redirects
  • Managed apps that start and restart for you
  • Optionally answers on the www address too
Files

Files and logs

Work on a site without leaving the panel.

  • File manager and editor in the browser
  • Per-site access logs with a live tail
  • Environment variables for each app
Safety

Safe by design

Built for a server that holds many sites.

  • One Linux user per site
  • Every change previewed, with automatic rollback
  • Nightly database backups
Admin

Your team

Accounts and access for the people who run it.

  • Admin accounts with optional two-factor login
  • Invites, API tokens and an activity log
  • Panel on your own domain, or at the server address for first setup

What it does today.

Built on Caddy, so certificates and renewals look after themselves. On the way: PHP sites, PostgreSQL databases managed from the panel, wildcard certificates through Cloudflare and site-owner accounts.

HTTPS

Automatic HTTPS

  • Certificates issued and renewed by Caddy
  • HTTPS status shown for every domain
  • One shared server on port 443 for every site
Sites

Static, proxy and redirect

  • Static sites from a folder you control
  • Reverse proxy to an app on the server
  • Redirects to another address
Protect

Protection and headers

  • Password protection for a whole site
  • Custom response headers
  • Preview of every Caddy change before it applies
Apps

Managed apps

  • A start command and environment variables
  • Runs as the site’s own user, restarted if it stops
  • App output and visitor logs in one place
Files

File manager

  • Browse, edit, upload and download
  • Unzip archives with zip-slip protection
  • Changes stay inside the site’s folder
Install

One-script install

  • Alpine 3.21+, Ubuntu 26.04 and Rocky Linux 10
  • Upgrades keep a backup and the previous version
  • If a step fails, the installer undoes what it changed

How it works.

Three steps from a bare server to a hosted site.

1

Run the installer

One script sets up Caddy, the panel and its services on your server, and prints a one-time setup link.

2

Create your admin

Open the setup link, choose a password and, if you like, turn on two-factor login. The panel runs on your own domain.

3

Add sites

Add a domain, choose static, proxy, app or redirect, and HostScope gets the certificate and applies the change safely.
